We received this special thank you from Mary’s Meals Founder and CCWC Speaker Magnus MacFarlane Barrow for your generosity. Because of your generous giving during the offeratory collection, tshirt and book purchases, Mary’s Meals will be able to feed 864 children for an entire school year!
Please join us this Lent with our “It’s so easy to do something” CCWC challenge!
You can join us in these simple ways:
1. Pray – As Magnus inspired us at the end of his talk on Saturday (listen to the entire talk on St. Gabriel Catholic Radio here), please pray for all those involved with Mary’s Meals. The volunteers, the staff and most importantly, all the children!
3. Set a feeding goal – Decide how you can help! Maybe you want to make a one time donation or donate monthly as a family. You can do it online here. Many of you who came to the table shared how you want to get your school or parish involved. One great way to participate as a parish is by sponsoring an entire school! I help my parents sponsor school in Arthington, Liberia and we love it! You can pledge to cover a whole school’s annual feeding costs, and create a legacy in celebration of their loved one or your school or parish. A message of your choice is painted on a sign in the feeding center, which the children will see every day as they receive their life-changing meal.
4. “Just do Something!” There are many ways to give. Check out the Mary’s Meals website for ideas or contact Ellen Miller, your Mary’s Meals outreach team at firstname.lastname@example.org
Tshirts are also still available to order. You can order in bulk and sell them at your parish as well!
Bless you ALL for your out pouring of generosity for the children and families of Mary’s Meals.
