“Friendship Friday” – reach out to a friend today!

Friendship Friday is a term coined by Michele Faehnle and Emily Jaminet to encourage women to take some time each Friday to reach out to a friend. It could be something as small as a “hello” text to a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while or as involved as a full meal for a friend that is ill. Practicing Friendship Fridays is a way to nurture some of the greatest gifts and blessings in our lives, our friendships.

Friendship Fridays came about as a product of their recent collaboration, the book The Friendship Project. In The Friendship Project, Emily and Michele explore the cardinal and theological virtues with an eye toward friendship. Focusing on faith, hope, love, prudence, gratitude, loyalty, generosity, and prayerfulness.

As our Friendship Friday treat for you, we wanted to share a video snippet from the book’s extra resources. This snippet is a supplement to chapter 7 on Generosity and it features Michele and Emily’s friend, Christine. Christine shares her story about how she started the Columbus Catholic Women’s Conference and how the fruits of that generosity resulted in many, many friendships.
